Sweet Wattle
This medium vase features the slender leaves and unusual blue seed pods of Sweet Wattle (Acacia suaveolens), which grows in my local area in south-east Australia.
The vase is coil-built in white clay, painted with multiple shades of underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. It is clear glazed inside and on the plant design, leaving the clay background matte.
