Swamp Banksia Bowl
This wide, shallow bowl features the blooms and serrated leaves of Swamp Banksia (Banksia dentata), from the Jatbula Trail in the Northern Territory.
The wide, shallow bowl is coil-built in red stoneware clay. The botanical design is painted with multiple shades of underglaze, and carved to expose the red clay. It is glazed on the plant only. The bare clay is sanded and left unglazed to highlight its beautiful natural colour.
