Silver Wattle Bowl
This small bowl features Silver Wattle (Acacia dealbata).
The bowl is built in smooth white clay. The surface is painted with underglaze and carved to create the botanical design. A clear glaze is applied to the plant, leaving the carved clay background bare. The inside has a satin aqua-green glaze.
The bowl can be used for decorative or functional purposes. It is food safe and dishwasher safe, although handwashing is recommended to preserve the surface over time. It is the size of a small, deep noodle bowl — my favourite size and shape for an individual meal.
