This small vase features the flowers and leaves of morning glory. I fell in love with the light blue variety when I saw it growing in Takayama, Japan, and later grew it in my own garden.
The vase is coil-built in smooth white clay, painted with indigo underglaze and carved to create the botanical design. It is clear glazed inside and outside.
