This small vase features Holly Grevillea from central Australia, which I saw on the Larapinta Trail.
The vase is coil-built in creamy clay. The surface is painted with underglaze and carved to create the botanical design. A clear glaze is applied to the inside and to the plant only, leaving the background matte.
