Native Geranium Bowl
This medium bowl features Native Geranium (Pelargonium australe) which grows in my local area of Narrm/Melbourne.
The bowl is coil-built and pinched in white clay, with a small foot and an organic, slightly irregular form showing the marks of the hand-building process. It is painted with multiple shades of underglaze and carved to create the botanical design. The inside of the bowl features a satin turquoise glaze, while the outside is clear glazed on the plant only.
The bowl can be used for decorative or functional purposes. It is food safe and dishwasher safe, although handwashing is recommended to preserve the surface over time.
