Coast Banksia
This open vessel or tall bowl features Coast Banksia (Banksia integrifolia) from Australia’s east coast. With its striking green and silver leaves and pale yellow flowers, the mighty Coast Banksia is the dominant tree species in the coastal landscape near my home.
The open form is coil-built in smooth white clay and painted with multiple shades of underglaze, with botanical detail carved into the design. The plants are clear glazed, leaving the white clay background bare. The inside has a turquoise satin glaze.
Dimensions: Medium H 18.5 x W 16 x D 15.5 cm
